“But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” 1 Cor 2:10
The purpose of God for our lives is part of the deep things of God. It is deep because it’s not a function of human reasoning. Our minds are too small to figure out the purpose of God for our lives. If it was a function of human reasoning so many educated people will be walking in purpose.
Education is good but it could actually work in direct opposite of God’s purpose for our lives. The reason for this is because education gives us a false sense of confidence. If you are not careful your degree will become an “idol” in your life. God’s purpose for your life is far bigger than what was offered you in the four walls of the school. Have education, earn the degrees but don’t depend on it.
The only person that has access to the deep things of God is the Spirit of God. He knows exactly what God has prepared for us from the foundation of the world. He knows exactly our frame and what we were designed for in life. He is the one that reveals to us God’s mind concerning our lives. He was the only person who monitored and supervised your making in the womb.
Even your parents were not there. What your Mum saw was that her tummy was getting big. By the time you came out of the womb God had concluded your life and purpose. It will be an error to allow someone who was not there when God made you to determine what you do with your life.
We must develop an intimacy with the Holy Ghost. He should be our greatest companion in life. He will bring us to revelations and insight of God’s purpose for our lives. He can choose to reveal himself in a way that seems good to him.
He may not reveal things to you like he did for a great man of God you know, but be confident that as you walk with God He will reveal himself to you along the way. Get confident of the ministry of the Holy Spirit in your life.
